Helping Hand

A trusted set of eyes on the home, four times a year.

Helping Hand provides a quarterly exterior review of the property, practical maintenance reminders, and access to storm preparation support. It is a simple, proactive way to catch small concerns early and give your family greater confidence that the home is being looked after.

A practical way to stay ahead of what you cannot always see

Managing a parent’s home often means worrying about the things they may not notice, mention or know how to address. Helping Hand provides a trusted local presence four times a year, giving you a clearer picture of the property and helping small, exterior concerns get noticed before they become bigger problems.

What’s included

Quarterly exterior visits

Four times a year, a Sunday Concierge team member visits the property and completes a visual review of the home’s exterior.

We look for visible changes, signs of wear and issues that may need attention. After each visit, you receive a clear update on what we saw, including any concerns to watch or address.

Someone is paying attention, even when you cannot be there yourself.

Exterior property review

Each visit covers the most important visible areas around the property, including:

  • Driveways and walkways

  • Lawn and gardens

  • Gutters and exterior lighting

  • Fences and gates

  • Stairs, railings and entrances

  • Patios, decks and outdoor areas

  • Barbecues and other exterior items

Helping Hand is not a formal home inspection. It is a practical visual review designed to identify obvious concerns, changes or maintenance needs that might otherwise be missed.

Home maintenance reminders

Keeping track of seasonal maintenance is difficult enough in your own home. Managing it for a parent can quickly become another responsibility competing for your attention.

We provide timely reminders for recurring tasks such as gutter cleaning, yard maintenance, seasonal preparation and other routine exterior work.

You remain in control of what gets done. We help make sure it does not get forgotten.

Access to storm preparation services

When severe weather is approaching, Helping Hand members can request storm preparation support.

Depending on the property, this may include securing outdoor items, moving patio furniture and checking exterior areas before the storm arrives.

Storm preparation is booked separately and subject to availability, but you already have someone local to call when the forecast becomes a concern.

Designed for families who cannot always be there

Helping Hand is ideal for adult children who live outside the area, have demanding careers or want a reliable way to stay informed about a parent’s property.

You should not have to drive by the house, depend on a neighbour or wait for your parent to mention that something may be wrong.

Helping Hand gives you a dependable set of eyes on the home, a regular update on what is happening and one less thing to carry alone.
